It's difficult to reach out, especially with people whose first experience with him was on the other end of a sword (key-shaped or otherwise), so the utterly normal conversation starter is actually something like a relief.

If she was this red just talking about it to the extent she had so far, she had no idea how she would manage if she had to actually mention it all out loud. ]
